Gary Gygax (July 27, 1938 - March 4 2008) was an American writer and game designer in the role-playing field. He was best known as the co-writer of the first and most famous role-playing game: Dungeons and Dragons.
Gary Gygax was often regarded as the father of modern role-playing games.
